District Metals (DMX.V): “Publishes assay results from historic drill logs, gears up for maiden 5,000 meter drill program”

District Metals (DMX.V) recently obtained the assay data from the Geological Survey of Sweden for 13 holes drilled on the Lovas-Nyberget area within the Tomtebo claim package. The holes were drilled between 1953 and 1972 by Boliden, and were focusing on an area about 12 kilometers northeast from the Tomtebo mine.

Given the limited resources back in the day, the holes were relatively shallow and District’s press release mentions an average depth of between 63 and 140 meters. Despite being relatively shallow, some of the encountered intervals are pretty good with for instance the headline result of 15.9 meters of 1.3% copper and 0.9% ZnPb on the Dammsjon zone, while the Flyttjebasen zone (about 400 meters further to the northeast from Dammsjon) seems to have higher zinc and lead grades and much lower copper grades.
