The increase in short interest was probably done in connection with the recent, huge share offering by Novo. That is typical and it’s just noise, don’t be distracted by it. IMHO, Novo’s share price is dropping because of recent share dilution and also the general correction in the miners.

Another “problem” with Novo is what I call “plate spinning”. They’ve got their hand in lots of project areas. In the old days of circuses, plate spinners would demonstrate their ability to spin multiple plates until the point they couldn’t keep them spinning long enough and they all fall to the ground.

A real life metaphor of a plate spinner is the Federal Reserve and all their wonky programs / money printing to keep the asset bubbles inflated. Plate spinning is finite, not unlimited as most MMT socialists believe.

I am an investor in Novo but don’t think for a minute their clearly visible plate spinning is not a risk that needs to be judged. I’m an old timer and I know that if they mount the wrong plate or too many plates, I will sell it all.
